Wildwood Kennels

I am a very small breeder in rural Oklahoma. I have been responsibly breeding dachshunds for the last 9 years. I truly love the breed and the enjoyment that they bring to anyone lucky enough to own one. I am dedicated to meeting not only the standards set by ACA/AKC, but in breeding dogs that are healthy, happy, well socialized, affordable pets.

I have hand picked or raised my own pups so that I am sure of the quality of care they have received throughout their lives. I offer most colors and all three coats - Smooth, Longhair, and Wirehair. All of my dogs are double registered with ACA and AKC. My litters are registered ACA due to the ever increasing prices at AKC. If you prefer an AKC registration, please add an additional $50.00 to the price of your puppy.

Feel free to contact me to set up a time to come visit the puppies in person. When the puppy is old enough to leave its mom, we can arrange a time for you to come pick him or her up. At this time I do not offer shipping, but I will drive to a delivery point within 100 miles of my home for a small travel fee (free delivery to Bristow or Sapulpa).

If you see a puppy you just can’t live without, your puppy will come with a health guarantee (stated in Sale Contract) and up to date on all shots and worming. A written schedule showing dates and types of vaccinations given will be provided so your veterinarian can insure that your puppy stays on the best schedule. Welcoming a New Puppy Home Carrier will accompany your puppy along with several days of the food your puppy has been eating. A blanket and a toy he or she has been given will also be included. All of this will help insure the transition to a new home well be easier and less stressful.

***We will NEVER knowingly sell a puppy to a pet store or animal broker***

Introducing Yordach - Wirehair Dachshund/Yorkie Mix

Yordach vs Dorkies

A Yordach and a Dorkie are both hybrid dogs that are the result of a combined breeding of a Dachshund and a Yorkshire Terrier. But, there is a difference between the two. Most Dorkies are Smooth or Longhair Dachshunds bred to a Yorkshire Terrier. Our dogs are the offspring of a Miniature Wirehair Dachshund and a Yorkshire Terrier - Yordach. By breeding the Wirehair with the Yorkshire, we can retain the eyebrows, long muzzle, and chin hair which is a required standard for both breeds. We also doc our puppies' tails as required in the Yorkshire breed. In addition, we do not see any thin coats or smooth faces in our puppies.

The Wirehair Dachshund and the Yorkshire Terrier are both considered to be
hypoallergenic breeds. Both breeds are low or non-shedding which produces little or no dander. After looking at many pictures of Dorkies on the internet, I have decided to name my breed something different....And the name Yordach was born.
